Amy studied her 200 Hour( RYT) Yoga teacher Training at Shri Yoga, in Highland Park Illinois. After being a student of yoga for many years she decided to dive deeper into yoga so she can share her love for Yoga with others. Amy likes to focus on developing a deep core strength, toning, increasing flexibility and stability, and improving alignment. She wants each student to leave her class feeling uplifted, energized, relaxed and strong. She arranges new sequences and upbeat playlists every week to keep her class fun, and challenging.
Melissa Spero has been practicing yoga since she was 18. In 2011 she attended a Simon Park workshop and ever since she was completely hooked. Melissa completed a 200 hour Hatha Yoga teacher training with Denise Kay and Delia Quigley in June 2015. Always full of positive energy and good vibes, she loves helping others and giving people the gift of yoga. She also practices circus arts and trains in different disciplines like aerial silks and rope, hand balancing, and partner acrobatics. Also a avid rock climber, hiker, and surfer she loves the connection movement has with nature and the world around her. She loves constantly unlocking the potential inside herself and it brings her great joy to see and assist others find pieces of that potential in them.
Christine Zelenka (RYT-200) has enjoyed the many benefits of yoga herself and after receiving her certificationat Onyx Yoga Studio, she is excited to share her knowledgewith fellow yogis. She aspires to create a safe environment while introducing the universal principles of alignment, yoga philosophy and pranayama into each class. Christine challenges herself to introduce the many aspects of yoga, to inspire yogis to develop their whole being in a supportive and sustainable way. Expect classes to be challenging but humorous, never taking ourselves too seriously, because we understand that this is all part of thejourney. Christine is grateful to Shannon Elliott of OnyxYoga Studio for introducing her to yoga and guiding her through her 200 hr. training. She also extends gratitude to all other teachers and students; past, present and future for influencing her practice.
Cait was drawn to yoga over ten years ago after trying many different methods to overcome anxiety and stress. She found that practicing yoga transformed her life in a way that allowed her to develop stronger self-respect, positive self-talk, physical strength, flexibility and balance. She received her 200 RYT through the Yoga Center of Teacher Training in HoHokus, NJ. She believes that all situations begin with thoughts, and when thoughts are reshaped, words and actions are also reshaped into a life that is present and fulfilled, and her teaching offers an opportunity to connect with the authentic voice.
